Corporations have played a major role in the advancement of our civilization and have contributed greatly to our unprecedented quality of life and prosperity. Some leaders like Ray Anderson however, have observed the other side to the dominant institution of our time. They feel that the relentless pursuit of wealth has caused many externalities that are resulting in dire consequences for humanity and our entire planet.
Task
In a 5-7 paragraph essay evaluate the quotation by Ray Anderson. Do we need to listen to him and make immediate changes to the corporate system or is he a dangerous alarmist, overstating the negatives of corporations and supporting reforms that would cripple growth and diminish wealth?
