Project Info:
The site is located in a commercial zoning area and some educational/Institutional lots.
The Site I choose is across the street from Los Angeles Technical Trade College (LATTC) in West Washington Blvd.
the whole area has NO OPEN SPACES, OUTDOORS and not much of vegetations.
As for the program/users; the program is a community / art center for students and their families. With interior and exterior courtyards that allows for social interactions as well as different kinds of activities.
The program includes but not limited to the following; Daycare, music classrooms, art and crafts classrooms, community spaces, dance studios, amphitheater, offices and café. In addition, the massing/organization of the proposed project is that the mass would be organized around a central courtyard as well as multiple courtyards on each side of the building.
