Create a Risk Assessment Checklist

• Review the 2021 Verizon Data Breach Investigations Report. You will need to download the report here: https://www.verizon.com/business/resources/reports/dbir/
• Select an industry to develop a risk assessment checklist. A detailed list of industries is included in the report.
• Determine what are the most common threats to the industry selected. List and describe a minimum of 5 threats.
• Develop a step-by-step checklist that can be used for that industry to develop its risk assessment approach to help identify common and unique vulnerabilities.
• The risk assessment approach you develop will be used to form policy for individual organizations within that sector. You will not be creating a policy document. Your risk assessment approach will include considerations, components, techniques, and things to look for when crafting a risk assessment.
• The risk assessment approach will be a minimum of 2 pages and will factor in recent attacks and/or recent vulnerabilities for that industry.
• The format can be inclusive of bullets but must include detail to support the steps you are providing. For example, if one of the steps is to identity key stakeholders, you will also explain who some of those key stakeholders might be and why they should be considered.
• Some outside research might be needed. Ensure that your references (if used) are inclusive of APA formatting.
