Create Your Own TED Talk(culture and cuisine,)One page of Prepare Planning Sheet, two pages of 5-10 mins speech!!!
This assignment requires that you present on something within culture and cuisine, be it your own, or someone else’s. In doing this, remember the one thing all Ted Talks have in common is that they are delivered by people who are passionate about (and believe in) what they are saying.
So, find a topic within culture and cuisine that you are passionate about. It could be:
* ceremonial foods
* political influences on food throughout history
* personal experiences with food in your culture and/or throughout your lifetime
* familial and celebratory foods
* cultural influences on diet throughout time, etc.
This should be a presentation that tells a story. As you take this journey, remember that this should be a casual and conversational talk with friends. Talk to your audience, not at them, and you will have a successful result.
You will not be handing in an essay. You may write your talk out as if it was an essay, but you will not be able to read it word for word. You will outline your TED talk on the planning sheet and hand that in with your video submission.
