Alignment: This aligns with course objective, “Develop an e-commerce website that appeals to a specific target market”.
INSTRUCTIONS: This is an individual assignment in which you will submit the link to the unique site you have created.
Section #1: General Requirements (40 pts. total)
Think of a concept for a store that sells physical products. Develop a logo that communicates your product and theme. Plan your site structure and style, what kind of products you wish to sell and in which collections. Choose a template (which you will modify) from the category “Online Store” in WiX®.

Customization – Fully customize the site from the original template (change images, text, colors, fonts, menu, products, etc.) The site will be compared with the original template for meaningful updates and enhancements

Principles of good Design – Project a professional caliber of work and clear design that fits the site’s theme, with no excessive “white space”, no clashing colors or images, all legible text, and all boxes in alignment

Simple navigation – Make the menu visible, functional, and easy to use, so that navigation throughout the site is intuitive and all buttons are functional

Use of images – Use images that are high quality, fit the site’s theme, and include credits where appropriate

ADA-Compliance – Ensure that all pages follow best practices for accessibility, including color contrast ratios, ALT Text for images, Headings/paragraphs definition on text, and closed captioning of any videos

SEO optimization – Optimize your Home page for search engines. Make sure that you include long-tail key phrases on your blog, product descriptions, and other text to increase your chances of being found in a Google search. Activate the SEO Wiz: You don’t have to complete it all! Only the home page tasks

Readability – Use engaging text and follow rules of spelling, grammar, and citations/style

Section #2: Specific Requirements (60 pts. total)
Your eCommerce store should have at least these six distinct pages (two are “hidden” pages) following these guidelines:

About Me (6 pts. total). Create an “about me” page that tells your story and reflects your brand personality. Be sure to follow best practices for connecting with consumers.

Shop Now (23 pts. total). This is where all products can be viewed. You can call it “Shop Now” or whateveryou prefer.

Collections.
You should have two “collections” set up as clickable sub-folders under the Shop Now link on the site menu.
Delete the template’s product collections and add two new collections of your own, each with a descriptive title and at least two products in each collection (see below).

Product listings (12 pts.). Delete the template’s products and add a total of four (or more) products that were not in the template. Each product should have:
Three or more photos per product. AT LEAST one product should feature high-quality photos taken by you. (You may use new WiX or other CC0 images for the other three products) (4 pts.);
Two options (e.g., size, color) for one or more of your products, and link the images to the relevant options if applicable (2 pts.);
Clear and engaging (SEO-friendly) product descriptions, including a long-tail key word/phrase and details such as size, colors available, dimensions, care instructions, suggested uses, etc. (4 pts.);
In-stock inventory of five pieces for each option (2 pts.).

Based on best practices for blogs and SEO (image, text, topic), post a 300- to 1600-word entry that will be of interest to your target market (e.g., product reviews, “how-to” posts, trend alerts, etc.). This should NOT be a post simply introducing your eCommerce site or product line.
FAQs (3 pts. total). Frequently Asked Questions page that accessed only from a link in the footer.

Create link in the footer that leads to a “hidden” FAQ page with a minimum of two likely customer questions (and answers) that were not already loaded in the template (be sure to delete template language!).
Policies (3 pts. total). Store policies page that accessed only from a link in the footer.

Create link in the footer that leads to a “hidden” page with an abbreviated privacy policy based on US guidelines. Since you are not selling to the EU, GDPP is not required.
Save your work and be sure to view your website in “Preview” mode in laptop AND mobile mode before submitting your link for grading.
