Creating an Income Statement

Step 1 – Begin the assignment by searching for credible sources related to F&B income statement examples. In addition conduct google searches for each bullet below. Using the new sources found author an original short paper explaining;
A general overview of the income statement tool and how it is utilized to achieve business results.
How you calculated or estimated the projected food and beverage Sales.
How you calculated or estimated the projected food and beverage Costs.
How you calculated or estimated the projected Controllable Expenses.
How you calculated or estimated the projected Occupancy Costs.
Your explanations must be supported by credible sources found. The expectation is that you will use the data found, estimations, calculations, totals and individual figures described in dollars or % from the sources to build your income statement in Step 2.
The idea is no one source will be useful it will take data from each topic to build an accurate and realistic financial budget which aligns with your proposed business plan.
Step 2 – After reviewing the weekly materials and applying your sources from Step 1, use the Million Dollar Income Statement Excel spreadsheet provided above to create an operational budget for your proposed beverage business.

The short paper will be presented in MLA or APA format and must use, apply and list the credible sources used in presenting your findings. A minimum of three (3) sources are required. A minimum of three (3) pages is required. The inclusion of visual enhancements; charts figures, pictures from the credible sources is encouraged to enhance and support your written summary.
