While private prisons and third party companies provide jobs
and a solution to overcrowding in public prisons, private prisons and 3rd party
companies have a contract with the government that could be damaging to the
economy. because Private prisons are not required to report on their data on
inmate population, staffing, or where the budget was spent., not having to
report their inmate population or spent budget means that funds could be
misappropriated and the inmate population could be falsified. , and private
prisons are criticized for wanting the number of inmates in their prisons to
increase so
they can pull in more money, and a good portion of that money comes
from
tax payers.
