Research project – This research paper is designed to help students develop their sociological imagination and articulate their analytical skills for understanding social change. Keeping this in mind, identify your major and/or career choice. Complete a research paper in a minimum of ten (10) typed and double-spaced pages in Times New Roman style and size 12 font. The margins on your paper should be no more than one inch on both sides. Discuss your future career or current major along with its requirements or qualifications and the steps you will take to prepare you for your career. Incorporate in your analysis and discussion a minimum of two social theorists as discussed in class and/or textbook, and show how each theory relates to or supports your career choice because of its impact on society. Finally, discuss what you will do in your career choice to improve any aspect of society. Most importantly incorporate your position on how you will positively contribute to improving society after you have
met your occupational and/or career goals.
Im currently a criminal justice major and am hoping to become a justice reform advocate in the future. Im pre-law as well so it’s important to note my future field of work lines up with this cause.
