Critical analysis on 3 chapters from course textbook applied to a civil liberty or civil right

Directions:
You are to take your media chapter, your special interest group chapter and one more chapter of your choice and apply concepts of your choice to the topic of a Civil Liberty or Civil Rights concept. (Past or Present)
You can incorporate sub-issues for analysis as they pertain to your paper (ie: policy, civil unrest, court power, social movements or actors, etc This is not a complete list, just examples.) The sub topics are NOT the main focus of the paper, they are sub topicsthat can be used for analysis purposes to address the bigger topic of the topic you choose.
If you are focusing on a State issue, the state MUST be the State of California (example immigration policy in California, NOT Arizona).
Each textbook chapter contains ideas and vocabulary that can be used to dissect and explain all of the above. You may also use supplied PowerPoints and class resources as well as outside CREDIBLE resources for data.
You should be able to get a minimum of 3-4 pages of analysis from each chapter being applied to the topic. The additional credible resources come from your need to find data about the sub topics or the focus of your paper.
When you submit your paper, ensure the following:
It is in APA format (cover page, running header, abstract, reference page etc.)
It contains a minimum of three credible resources (one mandatory is your textbook since you are required to use chapters)
It shows that you can apply critical thought to a topic of choice using your chapters as a diagnostic tool
It DOES NOT have more than a 30%Turnitin score; Papers higher than this will lose points or be turned away if the score is too high. If it has a high %, re-write and re-submit.
It DOES NOT contain any opinion on the topic or presents as slanted toward a particular side of an issue, opinion papers receive a zero (0) per syllabus.
It is not in a PRO/CON format
