Critical analysis over an article

Each paper must:
· Be formatted using APA 7th edition standards. Include:
· Title page
o In-text citation(s)
▪ Reference section
▪ Appropriate sub-headings
· Include a summary and a critical analysis. Approximately half the paper should be your summary. Half should be your analysis. Specific guidelines are below.
· Be 3 (min) to 5(max) pages long.
· Be in your own words. Paraphrase only. No direct quotes.
· Include a maximum 10% similar rating according to the plagiarism detection software
Summary of Studies:
You summary should include the following information, if applicable:
· What questions/hypotheses were addressed?
· Who were the subjects in the sample (ages, gender, ethnicity, etc.)?
· What were the dependent and independent variables?
· What tests, instruments or questionnaires were used in the study?
· List any special equipment or situations used in the study.
· What procedures did the study follow? How was the study conducted?
· Describe the results. What did the author discover?
· What conclusions do the authors draw based on the findings?
Critical Analysis of Studies:
Provide a thoughtful analysis of the study you summarized. In this section, discuss the strengths and limitations of the study. You may, for example, object to the sample or procedure the researcher used. You might have found that the article helped you to better understand a specific issue or problem.
Following are points to consider including in the critical analysis section of your paper:
· What did you find interesting about the article?
· What, in your assessment, were the strengths of the study?
· What, in your assessment, were the limitations of the study?
· Were there concepts, methods, findings, or implications that you did not understand? What could have been done to clarify these issues?
· Was the study conducted in an ethical manner? Discuss your thoughts.
· Explain what you would do differently if it were your research project.
· Do you think the conclusions drawn from the results are appropriate? Why or why not?
· How might you apply the results in a future personal or clinical application?
