1. Why did you pick this article? Consider the title, style of writing, the publication, date of publication, and any images and/or video as influencing factors.
2. How would you describe this article? (feature, opinion/commentary, objective news, essay, human intere st, case study, etc.)
3. Summarize the whole article using no more than 150 words.
4. What is the main idea/theme of the article? Which paragraph was this introduced?
5. Pick what you think is the most important paragraph in the article, explain why, and paraphrase what the author is saying in this paragraph. Use no more than two sentences to do this.
6. Comment on the structure of the writing: sentence length, paragraph size, article length, order of information (logical flow?), types of words the author uses, and the general tone of the piece.
7. Identify any supporting facts and statistics the author uses in the body of the text. Copy and paste an example of this.
