The
assignment must pose a relevant scenario depicting a strategic issue that needs
to be addressed where such issue MUST be aligned to a chosen theme of one of
the listed topics from the indicative content of the respective module. The student must show how his/her learnings
from the module have allowed him/her to reflect on this situation and discuss
the issues accordingly (as supported by theories etc.) and end with what they
will do differently next time.
The
examiner must be satisfied that the student was able to actually apply the
learnings to a work situation which proves/demonstrates how he/she has
developed/transformed based on the knowledge gained in the program. Supporting
artifacts must be relevant and no less than 3, with in-text citations no less
than 8.
Penalties
will apply if assignments do not meet the above criteria, and I will grade
accordingly.
Note the following:
1. Follow and complete the
prescribed template
2. You must choose one of the
indicative topics as the theme of your discussion
3. Include relevant frameworks
and theories that align to the chosen topic
4. Experience/ Behaviour What
behaviour / experience are you reflecting on: Choose a problem or an issue that needs
attention and improvement.
5. Regards #4 above, you can
choose to write about your manager; it’s not necessary that the scenario is
based on you/your behavior. However, if you have a scenario that’s about you,
that will be welcomed!
6. Include at least 8
in-text citations AND references per journal
7. Include A minimum of 3
artifacts.
a. These can include any of
the following: Reports; emails from a boss/customer/colleague; presentations;
policies you created subsequently; a business plan you created; performance
reviews; a video you looked at and your interpretation of the learning gained
b. Artifacts should be
referenced in the body of the paper (this evidences their relevance)
c. Artifacts must be relevant
to the theme of your journal. Any irrelevant artifacts can actually reduce your
grading
d. Vary the artifacts; do not
just use one type.
e. state the artifacts under
Links in the EPA and explain what it is and how it is related to your
reflective work
8. Supporting diagrams and
frameworks in the appendix are required but ensure they are relevant and not
excessive
9. Pay attention to spelling;
grammar; expression of ideas; writing style. Keep it academic-oriented
10. Put your name below and
your centre
11. NEW! You are required to
include a one-page introduction on the company you are employed at and briefly
describe your position and role at the company. Just one of these is required;
not one for each journal
STRUCTURE:
Justify both margins to make it look
professional. Spacing too must be
consistent so it looks like from one person.
References, for Harvard, referencing, no need to number them; 2nd line
must not be indented. It’s all blocked
to the left. Overall, this is consistent in their work. Little things may make
a big difference in getting that extra 1-2 marks to cross a classification.
All diagrams and tables must be numbered in
sequence and given a title or caption and source from.
