For your Unit 3 Assignment, you will be identifying an issue in your community, discussing a gap that exists in service provision for that issue, planning/implementing a program/intervention, and evaluating the intervention. Evaluation is an important component when developing a program as it is important to assess what is working and what may need to be improved to provide the best services possible to your clients.
Your assignment needs to follow the outline below, using the sections as headings in your paper to keep things organized. Your paper should be no longer than 5 pages in length.
Needs Assessment
What is the identified need in your community?
Who is impacted by this need?
What are the resources (if any) that currently exist to address the need?
What are the gaps in services to address the need?
Literature Review
What are the historical/current trends related to the identified need?
What is the global perspective of the identified need? (For example: How is this need viewed and addressed worldwide?)

Discuss one example of an outcome evaluation question related to your intervention.
What is an example of one qualitative and one quantitative way to evaluate your intervention?
Diversity Considerations
Discuss how your intervention will address issues related to diversity, including culture/ethnicity, gender differences, and global perspectives.
Address why it is important to consider issues related to diversity when developing interventions for a community.
