As these specific areas are reviewed, analyze if and what vulnerabilites exist enabling healthcare information systems to become compromised warranting concern.

– Independent variables are economic impact, affects to/loss of privacy, and reputation to the healthcare industry/organization.
– Dependant variable is the impact of the threat on healthcare information systems.
– APA7 formatting, sources should be limited to those within the past 5-7 years (for revelance), and solely focused on healthcare information systems and threats experienced within the United States. Mixed research method but mostly qualitative (secondary research), but DHHS has numerical data they maintain on HIPAA privacy and security rule violations that help paint a picture as well.
