This
template is based on the rubric grading categories, and level one headings are
adapted from that source. This is not
intended to modify the assignment instructions.
It is intended to help you fully meet the assignment requirements. It does, however,
highlight areas I will consider when reviewing the paper for grade
determination.
Please use
the headings set forth below, and include the information suggested under each
heading.
Introduction
Set forth the
name of the student to whom you are responding and the primary idea that you
will review from that paper.
New Information
Your response should be very specific, and it should
describe the key items you are presenting as an addition, clarification, or
challenge to the paper you are reviewing.
Synthesis of research data set forth in this section must make a
connection to the idea from the paper to which you are responding and the new
information you present. Use literature
to support all of the information you present in section. Such synthesis should be supported with
excellent research sources.
References
There should be a minimum of four articles from academic
journals in this section. More is
better. The textbook is okay to
use. Trade magazines are okay to use,
but do not count as journals.
Note: All of the material presented in each section
should be supported by appropriate literature and interview citations. The general rule is, when in doubt cite the
source.
The
paper should not contain any self-knowledge, and opinion should be limited to
the conclusion.
Examples
of reference citations for a website, a book, and a journal article. It doesn’t matter how the source document
sets forth this material, it must be presented as illustrated. This means using
upper and lower case and italics. Every
entry in the reference has black font.
Nothing in an entry is underlined.
You must
make your reference look exactly like the APA style illustrations. Note, the headings of
Journals, books, and webpages are not used in APA but are used here to
