Define and describe the idea of “hipster” and/or “hippie” (whatever the case may be) according to each of the two authors.

The selections by Broyard, Delistraty, Forman, and Haddow all have to do with the subcultures of hippies and/or hipsters. These selections were written in different eras and the authors talk about different things, even though they use the same terms: Broyard’s hipsters of the 1940s are not the same hipsters that Haddow writes about in 2008. Forman talks about a hippie subset, known as the Diggers, in 1966. And Delistraty, writing in 2014, traces the evolution of the hippie of the 1960s to the hippies AND the hipsters of the 21st century.
Your task in this writing assignment is to first read all four of these articles (see Reading 4). Then select any two and

Then, according ONLY to the authors you selected, describe all of the similarities and differences of those groups:
between hipsters and hippies;
between hipsters of different eras;
OR
between hippies of different eras.
Finally, respond to both articles and/or the general ideas of “hipster” and/or “hippie.” (whatever the case may be), as these authors see them.
