Module 5 discusses five types of probability sampling procedures and four types of nonprobability sampling procedures. Define and discuss each of these types of probability and nonprobability sampling procedures, including the advantages and disadvantages of each relative to the other. Finally, provide a detailed example of a research problem and the type of sampling procedure that you would use. Describe in detail the process by which you will carry out this research.

Module 6 introduces three types of interviewing procedures, their advantages and disadvantages, and various interviewing aids. Discuss the three types of interviewing as well as their advantages and disadvantages. In conclusion to this essay discuss interviewing aids and their impact upon the three interviewing procedures analyzed. Finally, provide a detailed example of a research problem (different from the one used in question 1) utilizing one or more interviewing procedures. Describe in detail the process by which you will carry out the research.

Module 7 analyzes participant observation and case studies. Define and discuss the four types of participant observation as well their advantages and disadvantages. Conclude the essay with a discussion of the general procedures used when performing research with one of the four participant observation methods and the impact of violating each of these procedures on the validity of the study.
