Describe a recent scientific study from2019-present.

This discussion board will provide an opportunity to explore a recent environmental study.
The goal is to find a news article that describes a recent scientific study from 2019-present (be careful not to choose an opinion or editorial) related to our topic on biodiversity loss and conservation or evolution and natural selection. I’ve provided a few resources for finding articles below, but you can also simply do a Google search in the ‘News’ section with key terms (eg. biodiversity, conservation, endangered species, evolution, etc. ).
Title your post with the title of the news article. Your article must be unique, so you’ll need to look through all the posts to be sure your article hasn’t already been presented. Once you’ve found an article, post a brief summary (~3-5 sentences) then connect the study to class learnings. Be sure to include the citation (MLA or APA) for your article. Finally, reply to at least one other student.
Be sure to review the grading rubric for the discussion board prior to posting and check out the example below.
Example post (your post should be significantly different than mine):
Title: Research reveals location and intensity of global threats to biodiversity
A recent study has looked at the regions of Earth that are facing the most significant threats to biodiversity. The maps revealed that the most significant threats are agriculture and logging in the tropics but hunting is the biggest threat to mammals and birds globally. Southeast Asia, including Madagascar, is facing significant threats to all plants and animals. In class, we learned that habitat alteration is the most common biodiversity threat and conversion of the land to agricultural land and logging would fall into this category. … [Add additional details on connections to class learnings]
