Although not the norm, news stories of high-profile men—R. Kelly and Jeffrey Epstein, among others—involved in sex trafficking with minors have surfaced. The recruitment methods and operational security(summarized by Bouché, 2017, pp. v-vi) of the sex trafficking operations by R. Kelly and Epstein resembled “organized crime.”
Paragraph 1: Describe at least 2 methods used by each man to recruit minors for sex trafficking (cite both: Polaris, 2021; CBS mornings, 2019) and support your ideas (cite both: Bouché, 2017; Roe-Sepowitz et al., 2017). Also indicate what made these minors vulnerable to recruitment (cite both: Bouché, 2017; Roe-Sepowitz et al., 2017).
Paragraph 2: Describe at least 2 ways they used to evade law enforcement detection (cite both: Polaris, 2021; CBS mornings, 2019). Relate each way back to the readings to support your ideas (cite both: Bouché, 2017; Roe-Sepowitz et al., 2017).
Paragraph 3: Indicate 2-3 consequences suffered by both minor and adult victims of both men detection (cite both: Polaris, 2021; CBS mornings, 2019). Relate these consequences back to the readings to support your ideas (cite both: Bouché, 2017; Roe-Sepowitz et al., 2017).
