This week’s assignment will expose you to advocacy, research, funding, and professional organizations that influence health policy. These organizations will likely appear in scholarly literature that you review for your dissertation.
Choose 3 non-governmental health organizations (NGOs) from the list below and visit their websites:
American Heart Association®
American Cancer Society
American Diabetes Association® (ADA®)
The Commonwealth Fund
Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI)
Kaiser Family Foundation (KFF)
For each of the 3 NGOs you have chosen, prepare a 6- to 8-slide Microsoft® PowerPoint® presentation in which you:
Describe each organization’s mission, funding sources, and stakeholders.
Present highlights of a major program initiative sponsored by each organization.
Explain how each NGO influences health policy at a global and national and/or local level.
In addition to your content slides, include slides for:

An introduction
A conclusion
References

Provide voice-over and speaker’s notes for each slide.
Cite at least 5 credible sources to support your descriptions and analysis.
Format your citations according to APA guidelines.
