Overview:
You will create a journal entry during this unit based on your reflections on the information from the two-part video below. Listen as two of our Child Studies Instructors, Nanci Dower, and Marie Monahan, discuss their journeys as early childhood professionals. Their inspirational stories illustrate the intrinsic rewards of working in the field and taking on leadership roles in professional organizations, supporting colleagues, advocating for children and families, and following a path of lifelong learning. Their friendship grew out of shared experiences as classroom teachers, ECE programs administrators, CT Association for the Education of Young Children (CAEYC) board members, and instructors at Post University. Please note that their enthusiasm and passion for the profession are still strong after spending over 40 years in the field.
