Use this illustration as the basis of this week’s journal entry. Tell us how the diversity of people involved has or can enrich a particular business or marketing strategy.

Ch. 4: Group Circumstances and Structure: For this week’s journal entry, look at the seating arrangements on pages 165-168. Describe how you have had (or could have) positive and negative experiences in two or more of these seating arrangements.

Ch. 5: Leaderships and Social Influence: For this week’s journal entry, choose a leadership style from the readings on pages 230-234. Discuss which style best describes you and why. Then, describe which style you need to work on to make you a better leader.

Ch. 6: Decision-Making Processes: For this week’s journal entry, please look at the table on page 277. Describe which side of the brain functioning best describes your strengths. Then, describe how you can improve your creative capacity by focusing on your non-dominant attributes and side of your brain.

Ch. 7: Conflict Management: For this week’s journal assignment, read the section regarding Verbal Judo on page 323. Discuss how you can use, will use, or should have used Verbal Judo in your communication to improve the outcome and build the relationship.

Ch. 8: Consequences: For this week’s journal assignment, please read the list of ’12 Tips for successful team building.’ Discuss how you can use some or all of these tips to improve the outcome of your upcoming Community Project.

Ch. 9: For this week’s journal entry, please read the seven steps for preparing an oral presentation on page 399. Discuss how you can apply this to an upcoming presentation or how you could have used the list to improve a presentation you have previously given.

Ch. 10 Observing Group Processes: For our final journal entry, please look at the teamwork factors on pages 446-448. Describe how you can be more open and less closed in one or more important relationships in your life.
