that you have not used previously for any assignment in this course. Imagine that you will use it when working
with a reading group and give a one-two sentence summary of the story.

b. Describe how you would introduce the book
before students read it themselves. Include the discussion of any vocabulary
that you think should be introduced in advance.

c. Identify the four levels of reading comprehension discussed in this
class (on line information) and explain each one briefly.

d. Develop comprehension questions to ask
students in the reading group after they finish reading the book you
selected. Make sure you include at least
one or two questions for each level..

Explain at least two activities, including one writing idea, which could
be used to enable students to respond to this book. (Ex: Write a letter to the main character asking
him to explain his behavior.)

Identify one reading or writing skill that you think could easily be
taught in conjunction with this book (ex: compound words) and explain how the
skill (concept) could be connected to the story.
