General Topic of Interest – Weight Loss
Research Objective/Purpose – The purpose of this study is to identify which diet, a low-carb or low-fat would be most effective in weight loss.
Research Question: Are low-carbohydrate or low-fat diets more effective for weight loss?
Independent: Low-carb vs low-fat diets.
Dependent: Weight loss.
Null hypothesis: There was no difference detected in the effectiveness of the two different diets. Eating less is the most significant way of losing weight.
Alternate hypothesis: A low-carbohydrate diet is more effective in comparison with a low-fat diet and has an additional advantage of a reduction in heart disease.
