Discuss the following scenario:
Florence, a supervisor in the housekeeping department, entered a work order at 4 P.M. in the linen room terminal requesting that a leaking faucet be fixed in room 335. At 5 o’clock, the guestroom inspectress notified Florence that the faucet has not been repaired and that she cannot enter the room in the system as “vacant and ready.” The supervisor made a direct call to Jake, the maintenance person on duty, to inquire about the delay. Jake answered that he will take care of it after finishing the paint job he is completing in the employee locker room.
