Describe the difference between modern and post modern public administration.

The role of a public administrator has shifted has we have moved from the modern to the post-modern phase (maybe now into a post-post-modern phase but that is a discussion for a future PhD should you want lol). Administrative responsibility is one of if not the most important element of public administrative ethics, especially the duality of subjective and objective responsibility. Lastly the shifting roles of a public administrator couples with the presence of two forms of responsibility have presented daily conflicts of responsibility.

Complete the following steps in this week’s discussion post:
1) Describe the difference between modern and post modern public administration (Chapter 3, Cooper);
2) Describe the difference between subjective and objective responsibility; and lasty,
3) Describe one of the following conflict of responsibilities that Cooper mentions in Chapter 5 (Conflicts of Authority, Role Conflicts, or Conflicts of Interest) through the lens of the provided case study “The Case of a the Term Limited Governor” by
a) First defining and describing the conflict and then,
b) state why it applies to the case study.
