OUTLINE
* You may find any classical concert you are confident to write the report. Please note that the concert on Youtube must be 1.5 hours long. I suggest this video but if you have a better song to choose please go ahead.

Introduction: Basic Information
Briefly describe the concert. Who performed? What pieces were performed? Where was it performed? Describe the performance space, physical surroundings, appearance of the performers and the audience, and/or your own mental and emotional state before the concert began.
Critical Listening: Musical Elements
Choose TWO selections from the concert to discuss, and compare/contrast their musical elements (identifying and explaining at least two elements per piece). Discuss in detail any of the basic elements (melody, rhythm, harmony, dynamics, or tone color) that we have discussed in class. Talk about how these two selections are alike, or different, according to what you heard. Remember to define all musical terms.
Critical Listening: Subjective
For the two selections discussed above, relate the musical elements to either imagery or mood and compare/contrast the two selections you discussed according to these response types.
Conclusion
Did you like or dislike the experience overall? Why? Was the experience new to you? How was it different from what you expected? Was it like or unlike other concerts you have attended? Were there any surprises at the concert? Would you go again if it weren’t a requirement? How has this course helped you to experience live music event differently?
