The final project is a paper in APA 7 format that will consolidate everything you have learned about addictions and public policy regarding this
population, design an initiative aimed at addressing a major issue related to addictions.

Final Project:
1. Describe the population your proposal will address. (e.g., county, city, state or national setting)
2. Describe the issue of concern (e.g., opioids, college gambling, teenage use of alcohol)
3. Define your role in this program (e.g., school counselor, city manager/mayor, public safety official (state level) or national “drug czar.”)
4. Outline the detailed steps your proposal will take to ameliorate this problem. Draw upon your readings, learnings, and research into
other such
initiatives as a rationale for your project design. Goals should be clearly defined and methods of evaluation be described.
The
length of this project will vary according to the nature and scope of the effort.

A minimum of ten (10) pages is required, which would include scholarly
sources and appendices if necessary. Such sources would include existing prevention models or current intervention/treatment models. The paper must be in Word format.
