Describe what you thought you did well, and how you think you could have improved.

This assignment is designed to give students an interview experience with a non-clinical couple in order to practice asking interview questions, and observing relational process. For this assignment you will interview a couple.
You will select a couple and record them if they are willing using zoom. Otherwise you can do a voice recording if they don’t want to be video recorded.
Interview questions will be provided and will focus specifically on non-clinical questions relevant for a couple at a particular stage in the life cycle. For example, if you decide to interview a couple in the first year of their committed relationship/marriage, your interview guideline will focus on issues relevant to that developmental stage. If you interview a couple with children, your interview guideline will focus on issues relevant to partners with kids.
For the paper, begin with:
• an introductory section describing the couple you interviewed.
• You will summarize your interview in narrative form (quotes can be used, but do not transcribe the interview).
• Give a thorough description of the interview process including what you noticed about the couples’ non-verbals, emotions, and interactions and reactions to each other.
• Describe what you thought you did well, and how you think you could have improved.
• What did you notice about your own emotions and behaviors?
• Were there any self-of the therapist issues that you noticed? If so, what?
• Lastly, what did you learn from this experience and what you will apply to your practice with couples in the future.
• The paper must be 4 pages (no longer), APA format. A minimum of two references are required to help contextualize the developmental stage of the couple.
