Develop a family case study using a family you have cared for in the clinical setting (preferred) or a fictional family. Describe the family unit, structure and function. (A genogram should be included). Do not use the same family case for both presentations; the assignments must be done on different families.
Describe why the family is seeking healthcare- is it an expected developmental transition? Is it a healthcare crisis? Is it related to an aspect of genetics?
Assess the family using one of the theories/models and assessment tools discussed in previous modules or an assessment tool found in the professional literature.
What strategies will you use for intervening with the family? Identify at least 3-4 interventions based on the family’s healthcare concern, and supported by interventions found in the evidence-based practice literature. What are the strengths or limitations of these strategies? Your intervention strategies should be based on your references. Define at least 3-4 expected outcomes from your interactions.
