This paper will provide an opportunity for students to demonstrate how they can apply class material to development of a group program. Students are to research a problem behavior or topic that can be addressed through groupwork by reviewing the relevant literature and integrating their learning from this course.
*This paper is to be typed, double-spaced, follow APA style, include at least 8 scholarly references, and will be 10-12 (average) pages in length ( IN TOTAL).

Part I (5-8 pages)
1. Introduction
2. Targeted problem area, targeted client population, Type of Group (and can be a combination of two: and chosen Social Work Practice Model, which may also be a combination of a few approaches.
Note: What is the problem that you are working on improving through this group? Make sure the problem is something that can be addressed via a group intervention (e.g., “homelessness” cannot be addressed via a group intervention but the related stress could be).
3. Review of the literature (include why this type of group is supported in the literature with your targeted population, problem area to include studies that have evaluated outcomes (i.e., decrease in aggression, conflict, depressive symptoms, increase in positive interactions with peers, increase coping skills, etc.)
4. Overview of Proposed Group Program to include objectives, the proposed setting/location, size of group, open-ended vs. closed-ended and duration.
