I needs help with the task of designing an experiment (from Developmental Psychology) based on the hypothesis presented. It’s just a sketch / proposal. This should take no more than 2 hours, I attached the background and example of completed similar task with a different hypothesis.
Design an experiment to test this hypothesis: “Socioeconomic differences in vocabulary growth are caused
by parents with fixed mindsets”.
In your answer you
should briefly summarise relevant background and (to justify chosen design).
Give an outline of your method, and explain why you chose that method. Explain how you would analyse the data and what pattern of data would be consistent with or refute your hypothesis.
Describe one strength and one weakness of your design.
Concepts such as. ‘fixed mindset’ and ‘socioeconomic differences’ are explained in the background file.
