You have been working as a psychiatric aide at a local mental health center and have been placed in charge of the day treatment program, where individuals who have serious mental illness come and discuss their problems and where you help them develop basic work skills. You have two staff members whom you supervise. One day a client of yours comes in and says that one of your staff has been making suggestive remarks towards her. She believes that the staff member wants to have sex with her. You know that the client tends to exaggerate sometimes and is sometimes paranoid. However, you are not sure if there is some truths to her statements.

Ethical Dilemma #2
A human service professional has a client who continues to come to her office when she is drunk. The professional has warned her client that if she continues to arrive in a such a state, the professional will no longer be able to help to her. Despite a number of warnings , the next time the client shows up at the office, the human service professional can smell alcohol on her breath. The human service professional politely asks her to leave , and tells the client to let her know if she wants a referral to someone else. She goes on to state that she has given the client fair warning and “enough is enough.” Has this human service professional acted ethically , professionally, and legally?
