Develop a title for the proposal. The title should reflect how important the topic you chose is to current political situation in the United States

Guidelines: The research paper is divided into two parts. For part 1, write a brief proposal making a case for investigating the practice of democratic politics in America. Skim through and choose one of the following chapters: Public Opinion and the Media (chapter 9), or Elections (chapter 10), or Political Parties (chapter 11), or Groups and Interests chapter twelve). Come up with a topic, based on the chapter you chose, and follow the prompt below.
Research Proposal
1. Develop a title for the proposal. The title should reflect how important the topic you chose is to current political situation in the United States.
2. Discuss what attracted you to the topic. Why do you think this topic is critical in understanding the best and worst of American democracy.
3. Come up with a research question that gets to what you really want to find out in how the topic contributes to the state of American democracy. Good research questions ask more than ‘what is …’. The questions should also be about ‘why is ….’, and ‘how ….’ to try and find factors that cause something to occur.
4. Propose a preliminary answer to the question you came up with in # 3. Expand on your answer. That is, why you think the educated guess you came up with makes sense and could potentially provide answer to the question.
5. Provide citation/reference for works you used as sources including the textbook.
PS: the proposal should be about half-a- page to a page long.
