dissertation addresses the factors influencing the
diffusion of clean technology in the Afghanistan, with a focus on
rural areas. The key dependent variable is represented by various
measures of diffusion related to amount of energy generated, number
of users, and the extent to which an alternative energy source is
deemed usable and hence institutionalized. It argues that there
have been six key factors which have functioned as enablers or
barrier for the adoption and diffusion of clean technologies during
the period from 2005-2021 in Afghanistan.
