Many Midwestern and Western farmers found themselves indebted to the banks, which led to the over-production of cotton and tobacco, and thus to declining prices and the further exhaustion of the soil. Discuss the two efforts, the Granger movement and the Farmer’s Alliance, and how they helped resolve these agricultural problems. (Your response should be at least 200 words)
