Discuss a wide range of issues related to culturally distinct groups, minorities, diverse populations.

Each student will review an article of their choosing, regarding an issue or element of a
specific cultural or diverse group/population. Discuss a wide range of issues related to culturally distinct groups, minorities, diverse populations.
The review will include an overview of the issue/element being examined. A maximum of 2/3 of a page will be sufficient to provide a brief overview and outline the reason why you chose this topic. Also included in the paper is a literature review (what several sources [minimum 5 sources] are saying about this particular issue/element), and a personal perspective/reflection of the issue in terms of how it affects you as student and a global citizen. The personal perspective portion should be at least 1/3 of the entire paper and should include at least 5 terms from the course, applied to your perspective, to provide a clear demonstration of these course terms as is applied to your paper topic. Use the textbook and your notes to assist you. Do not simply insert terms here and there. They must be used accurately, naturally and in the appropriate context.
Article reviews will be a minimum of 3 pages, with bibliography and copies of articles used. (bibliography does not count in those 3 pages) You must submit a digital copy of all the article(s) you used for your reflection paper. This does not preclude you from including a bibliography!

Here are the following items I will be looking for/marking in your paper:
1. Length
2. Format (double spaced, bibliography attached, college writing level)
3. Clear explanation of issue from your article(s)
4. Sufficient explanation of your perception, attitude and beliefs about the issue. You should include terminology (correctly used) from the course (at least 5 core concepts/terms used in the course/text).
5. Effective summary paragraph(s). A one or two line summary is not satisfactory. Summary should include final thoughts on the direction of this issue, or how you may effect change, or a proposed outcome that you would like to see, etc.
