Discuss about ‘Causation and Effectuation process in the time of uncertainty within an organization’ – paper attached. it is certainly worthwhile to broaden the perspective a bit and to consider not only effectuation, but also bricolage etc. as forms of entrepreneurial action, but the thesis can then (with good arguments) also focus on effectuation, and then discuss what this means for crisis management. A good starting point could be to relate the contradiction between the need to plan on the one hand and to act quickly and flexibly on the other hand to crisis management and to manage this trade-off. One idea could be, for example, to buffer effectuational action from the outside because it does not generate much legitimacy from the outside and, conversely, to buffer the core (which has to be flexible in order to be able to react) from these external demands.
