Qualitative Research Proposal
This assignment is intended to provide you with an opportunity to apply your learning about qualitative research process by planning a qualitative research project from beginning to end.
Your research proposal will include the following parts: 1. The introduction which will contain:
a. A descriiption of the research problem or issue (researchable, social justice issue). A rationale for your research that is reflective of a social

justice issue. Include a clear statement of your relationship to the topic:
Why are you interested?
b. A very brief statement on the purpose and significance of the proposed
research in the context of the existing literature. Explain why your research is important and how it is relevant to your selected research problem or area of research.
2. Literature Review: The literature review should be used to identify the research problem, justify your research and review central concepts, theories and debates in relation to your topic. It should also reveal what is known and unknown about your research topic. A critical summary (critique) of the research literature is required and the literature should be reviewed and reported by theme or topic as opposed to a succession of single findings. Use the assigned readings in the course about literature reviews to inform your approach to writing your literature review.
The literature Review should be no more than 800 words.
The Introduction should not be more than 300 words
