writing is done on the play “the clean house ”
After completing the reading or viewing assignment and before 8 am on the day of our class, please address an issue of interest to you, discuss a particularly significant quote from it, and/or pose a discussion question for the class that is related to it. Aim to write at least 200 words and to use at least one quote (if you are referencing a play we’ve seen, paraphrase to the best of your ability).
Tips:
“Discuss” and “address” both mean talking about the significance of the issues, quote, or question.
I will notice if you regularly pull material for your journal responses from the beginning of readings/performances, and I will not be impressed.
It’s absolutely ok to go over the word limit, but do not cut your assignment short.
This entry will be considered complete when it:
is turned in by the stated time
responds appropriately to the prompt
is written using grammatically sound prose that’s free of typos
references something specific from the relevant reading/performance
