bCase Study Paper:

Overview: This project serves as capstone experience for the course. Each student will select a case study scenario in which the student should research the issues addressed in the scenario. A thorough research paper should be written from the perspective one’s chosen career as it pertains to working with the individual/team described in the case study (e.g., coach, sport psychology consultant, strength coach, personal training, physical education teacher, sports agent).

Each student should thoroughly review the literature on the topic and discuss best practices for developing interventions on a psychological and sociological level. A minimum of five (5) scholarly, peer-reviewed sources (cannot include your textbooks) should be included in the paper. All papers should be written in proper APA format.

Paper Organization:

To help guide your review of the literature and interventions please try to include the following sections in the final paper:

Introduction: This section should include a brief overview of the case study
Review of Literature: Please review major research in the field of sport psychology & sociology that provide insight into the factors associated with the case. A minimum of five (5) scholarly/peer-reviewed articles should be used to support this section. The references in this section should NOT include the textbooks for the course.
Applied Perspectives: This section will including perspectives and interventions in how to address the scenario. The section is written from the perspective of one’s chosen career path. .
