Essay Prompt:
Over the course of the semester, there have been several larger narratives or themes with which modern and contemporary artists have been working.
*Looking at the whole semester’s worth of lectures, identify one of these themes, and briefly explore it in your essay.
*Then pick TWO works of art or architecture to serve as examples of this theme.
These MUST be from different lectures, and one of them needs to come from the series of lectures in weeks 14 – 16.
* Give a brief contextual overview of each piece and explain how it fits with the theme that you’ve identified.
Discuss how each work develops that theme similarly or differently.
I’ve attached the powerpoint slides about the lectures. It will be amazing if you choose the two pieces coming from diffrent lecture topics, and follow the the Essay Prompt.
