Religion and Psychopathology
Religion has often been used to convey views regarding mental illness. These views have evolved in different societies, while others have held fast to their views. Select religious views in one or two different religious works which analyze or prescribe how mental illness should be viewed or treated. Discuss how religious views of mental illness has influenced the diagnostic processes used in psychopathology, treatment selection and treatment successes with different clients. How do you see religion as a factor in the treatment of mental illness now?
