Students will develop a fictitious case about an individual that presents a session with them,who is presently experiencing a crisis. Students will determine the type of crisis and discuss how that crisis is impacting the presenting clients life. The case will discuss information about the clients life,case presentation,ethical/cultural issues,possible initial diagnosis of client (DSM V), and short term/longterm goals(measurable) for the client to work towards. Please use references when needed… possible topics to choose from, terminal illness,sudden death,childhood abuse,natural disaster, war,sever illness/disability, domestic violence, suicide,violent death, sexual abuse/trauma/rape,addiction crisis,terrorism, or hate crimes.
