One of the great culture wars that exists in America today is the one between the religious and the secular. Much of that started during the 1920s and continued into the 1930s. Discuss how the religious-secular divide started in America and how it still affects us today.
Your paper can be based on your class lesson notes and/or textbook readings. You may use outside sources but they are not required. Your papers must be in your own words with no quotations from your textbook or other sources unless they are cited correctly. If you use sources for the information in your papers other than your assigned lessons and/or textbooks, you must indicate the source by a citation and complete information on the source using the Modern Language Association (MLA) works cited format. You will write your papers offline and then submit online using the paper icon under the course section designated as dropbox. Each essay must be approximately 1000 words. No late papers will be accepted without assessing a 5 point penalty per late day.
