Respond to the following based on the concepts covered in the course and your independent research. Your response should be a minimum of 3 paragraphs (one college-level paragraph per section; we consider a college-level paragraph to be at least 4-6 sentences).
Modern Media Platform
Choose a modern media platform and discuss how you were or are influenced by this platform as a consumer and/or a creator of popular culture.
Include an image (either a picture you took or a copyright-free image online) showing your modern media platform.
Past Media Platform
Identify a historical media platform that your modern media platform evolved from. This technology must be an older version in some way of your modern example. (You may need to do some research here)
Discuss how this earlier version of the media platform helped pave the way for your modern media platform. Please reference and properly cite at a minimum one outside research source using APA format. You need to include both in-text citations and a reference list. This site and this site will assist you with your in-text citations and references.
In-text citations for videos: If you are using a video for your creative deliverable, you still need to have in-text citations. You can do this in two different ways:
Verbal citation – within your video, you can cite your sources by simply saying, “According to [Author last name”]….” and then provide the information you retrieved from the source. If there is no author, replace the author last name with the title of the article or page.
Script with citations – You can also submit a script of your video in a word document or PDF that includes in-text citations.

Pop Culture Connection
Identify and discuss a specific way in which either your modern or past platform shaped popular culture. This could be a media piece distributed through or created on the platform (song, film, social media post, etc.), an important event, a popular culture trend, or any other specific example that demonstrates the impact of your platform on popular culture.
