NOTE: Outcomes refers to the data you will collect and how you will analyze it – not results as the study has not been performed. Submit this as an uploaded word document.

Use interventions from last discussion (provided in the uploaded files section). Discuss what measurements you will use to determine whether your intervention outcomes are successful or not. This needs to match your PICOT outcome, and the data that will be available from your interventions – last week’s assignment. (For example, see Step 5 on p. 95 of your textbook.) Be sure to include what data you will measure, what you will compare this data to, where you will obtain the comparative data, and how much of a difference (5%? 10%?) will indicate a successful intervention that you may want to permanently implement. Be detailed.
Do not repeat interventions information. This assignment is a continuation of the interventions section – once you have conducted the interventions, what data will you have and how will you determine what it means?
Discuss how you will analyze/calculate the data for results. Are you going to total or average each group and then compare your intervention and comparison groups? Are you going to use a bar graph? How about a t statistic? Be specific.
Defend what results/measures will determine success of your QI project. (Be realistic – the project is short and not a formal research study.)
