1.Discuss Long term and short term impact on the community of juvenile where justice is involved in the USA.

Our group project will primarily focus on the corruption in the American Criminal Justice systems and how juveniles of low socioeconomic status are targeted. As a starting point We will examine the case of Richard Wershe, where the Detroit Police Department colluded with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and used their authority to abuse and manipulate a minor (aged 14), Richard Wershe, Jr. Whom prior to this had very little to no police contact.We will address the issue of corruption in the criminal justice systems and its impact on juveniles on a state and federal level and the short-term and long-term effects on the community. Not to be remiss of the justice system’s strengths that positively impacts the community. Additionally, we will discuss the challenges and biases in the criminal justice systems and how it impedes the criminal justice process.
