Hello and thank you for helping me out. I have the below instructions for the assignment. I do need both portions of the lit review completed. The matrix is due this week, and the actual draft is due next week. I will need the matrix completed by Wednesday the 24th. If you need more time for the lit rreview draft, that will be fine as long as it is completed by Sunday afternoon. Please call or text me with any questions. For the matrix each student will review and evaluate a minimum of 5 articles on your topic. These are preliminary and you will be adding to these for the final literature review paper. Polit and Beck discuss matrixes and information that is important to extract from the journal articles.
I also have attached: a sample matrix. For those groups doing a systemtic lit review I have attached a matrix that demonstrates grading of the evidence and a PRISMA diagram that demonstrates the process of identifying articles that are accessed and ruled in and out to be used in a systematic lit review.
I am attaching 3 different examples of completed Matrices by former students. You can see that each is a little bit different; there is no absolute right way to complete this. The goal is to extract and organize the important information for the articles so that you can use that to write up the draft of the literature review. It is a tool to help organize the information.
One suggestion is to think of the last column ( Appraisal) as Limitations of the research.
