Discuss the changes over time in relation to power, control and healthcare/midwifery. Prehistoric through what you know of today. What changes in the world or people’s minds caused the shifts seen and what was the effect on those without power and those in power. Who decides what is “right” or “healthy”? How did practices change based on who was in charge? How are people placed into power and to have control over healthcare? Who gets to decide how the majority of people behave (birth, partner, live and die). And how does this affect health practices today. Be thorough, use at least 3 credible sources and formatting. Note that “credible” in relation to history is less than straightforward. It can include your own ancestry history or family lore, personal stories passed down, but must have “evidence” in the way of personal account handed down, or other concrete evidence.
